Durgamati: The Myth
DURGAMATI is the story of an imprisoned IAS officer interrogated in a haunted house. One state of India is witness to many loots of prized idols from various temples. Ishwar Prasad (Arshad Warsi), a minister in the ruling party, wins the hearts of the people, claiming that if the government fails to bring back the idols within 15 days, he will leave politics forever. Members of his party are stunned by his promise. They decide to bring him down by implicating him in a corruption case. CBI officer Satakshi Ganguly (Mahi Gill) is tasked. She seeks local help from Assistant Commissioner of Police Abhay Singh (Jishu Sengupta). As part of his operation, an IAS officer working for close to a decade decides to interrogate Chanchal Chauhan (Bhumi Pednekar). Interestingly, she is serving a jail sentence for the murder of her fiance, Shakti (Karan Kapadia).
