Sunil Bhateja (Manu Rishi Chadha) is separated from his wife Billu (Mahi Gill) and both are contemplating divorce. Their two children, Sunny (Shardul Rana) and Sweety (Archita Sharma), live with Sunil and her mother, Darshan Kaur (Dolly Ahluwalia), who has been comatose for 30 years now.

When her mother comes out of a coma, Sunil and her family members struggle to make things as if they are still living for 30 years in the past, so that the mother does not suffer a loss of 3 decades. To make everything look authentic, Sunil started dressing up as a school boy and considered his wife Billu as his close friend. They continue to do so, struggling to get a divorce.

When Darshan Kaur wakes up from a coma, she remembers the Doordarshan serials she used to watch. His family struggles to make him the same again. What happens next in his life, what is the rest of the story.
